Welcome to the Gresford Branch of the Country Women’s Association. We meet the first Thursday of each month (not January) at 9.30am in the CWA rooms, 12 Durham Road, East Gresford (next door to the Police Station).
New members are most welcome – just come along. Make new friends, get involved in the community, learn new skills, share your skills, make a difference.
We have a well stocked library and a Book Club which meets the second Saturday of each month at 3.00pm (not January).
We have French Classes too. Member Glenda Smith leads lessons and conversation in French in our rooms on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, (not January) at 11.00am and everyone is welcome to come along.
We are very active in the community and our major fundraiser is catering at the annual Gresford Show. We make substantial donations to charity and other worthy causes from monies raised throughout the year at various events.
Each year we conduct the Land Cookery Contest – our cooking, handicraft and card making skills are second to none. We hold community workshops at different times throughout the year.
